I truly anticipate this show every year as one of my favorites. Only a couple of hours from LA it makes a great weekend outing for all the west coast hot rodders, although it draws cars from as far
away as New York. This year the weather was a bit cool and overcast all weekend. It rained just enough on the trip up to Bakersfield to crap up the cars and cause several hours of cleanup after we arrived. It was cloudy but
never rained again all weekend. A real change from the usually hot and dry weather from most past years. As usual it was a real layback time. Unfortunately the Saturday night cruise was marred by an accident when someone
accidently hit the gas instead of the brake and struck the front end of the “Silver Bullet”, a gorgeous blown 40 Willys coupe which the owner had always trailered to shows. I guess even trailered cars are not immune
to mishaps. We all felt bad for the owners of both cars. Damage appeared extensive to both cars. Other then that it went well and was lots of fun as usual.
Anyway, here are the pics I managed to get on my many walking tours. Enjoy!
