They are ideal for people like me who suffer from arthritis. No more numb, aching hands from the cold. They warm up fast too. (in about 2 minutes) They are easy to install and they
work like a charm. A must for the big touring bikes. BMW has been installing grips similar to these as standard equipment. We installed a pair on my 2002 Road King Classic in about 2 hours using simple tools. This very
complete kit includes grips, relay protected switch, and all necessary wiring with built in fuse holder. On the right side grip a second plastic throttle sleeve available from your dealer makes the job easier. Otherwise you can
use the one on your bike like we did. We applied a little clear silicone adhesive (available in your local auto parts store) to the left and right grips to secure them and let it set overnight. Simple instructions are
printed right on then back of the package. Only 2 wires to attach. One to a switched accessory wire and one to battery ground This high tech original equipment looking heated grip kit draws only 2.9 amps which is about the same
as a light bulb. It has 3 settings, high, low, and off. Pictures below show the neat installation with wires routed through and tucked up into the headlight nacelle. We strung the wires under the tank and connected (+)
side with the built in fuse to the accessory wire just before the factory fuse connection with a “T” connector. (Red Wire w/Black Stripe) This is located under the left side cover at fuse box. We connected the
ground wire to the battery ground terminal and Shazam! We’re now ready for those cold weather rides.
