NSRA 2001

I just managed to finish my new Chopped, Candy Apple Red, ‘36 Cabriolet in time for the NSRA NATS in Bakersfield. I couldn’t resist the temptation to open this section with pictures of my new car after 2 years of hard work.
Well maybe I enjoyed it a little bit!  :-)
The show was great again this year. Especially after I won a new Chevy crate motor in the drawing after trophy presentations. I didn’t get any awards but the competition was stiff due to the many gorgeous new cars. They get better every year. It had to be one of the most photographed cars in the show as everyone with a camera was shooting it. The car couldn’t pass inspection due to no wipers so I guess I was not considered. I was not too dissapointed as I was just glad to be able to make it there as I only got the car really driveable a few days before and we left for Bakersfield the same week. Outside of a few minor bugs cropping up on the car (nothing serious) it was a great weekend. If you want to see more of the building of this car go to the Project ‘36 section in the site map.. More pics have also been posted.
