Well, I’m back at last! I didn’t make my May date, but I’ve made a lot of progress as you’ll see. I got bogged down in details and parts delays as is usual with this kind of project. This is by far the toughest one I’ve built to date. Cramming and shoehorning has become a daily chore as space on this critter is very tight and with all the accessories it’s getting real crowded under the dash and hood.

I ran the A/C and heater lines through a 4-way bulkhead fitting for neatness. I hated routing and making up all those hoses as it was real grunt work, but someone had to do it.

As you can see the console was a must. No way to put everything in the dash. It came out looking great though. Under the radio is the Air Ride control panel door, then the A/C controls and a floor vent. I’ll carpet up about 2 inches from the bottom to blend it into the floor. Wait till you see the 50’s style custom billet steering wheel.

Routing the wiring, fuel and oil lines neatly always makes the engine compartment look finished. Nothing looks worse the to lift the hood and see a jumble of wires and hoses. It can ruin an otherwise great looking engine compartment.

This is the fun stuff. All this bright work is always fun to assemble, (and expensive), but I’m a real sucker for billet and chrome.
