We just got back from this years Streak ‘99 hosted by the Over the Hill Gang in San Diego. These people
really know how to put on a Rod Run. We enjoyed it last year but it was even bigger and better this year. I’ve never seen so many prizes for a raffle with the exception of the Nats. They had literally hundreds
of great prizes to give away including a giant TV, Cherry Picker, Huge Tool Box with roller cabinet, A set of wheels, and the list just went on and on including many gift certificates for car stuff. The entry
included a great lunch, a Tee Shirt, and some raffle tickets.
The setting at the beach couldn’t be better. The weather was a little uncooperative as it was overcast and
a little chilly most of Saturday, but the ride there on Friday from L.A. and back on Sunday up Route One (Pacific Coast Highway along the ocean), was gorgeous. Lots of cars and friendly people. What more could you
ask for. Anyway here are some of the cars I thought were great.
